IV. Show Membership.
A.    Show membership will be $45.00 per show and are payable prior to the show date.
B. Shows must apply for date and approval to the Calendar Secretary at least 4 weeks prior to the requested show date. Upon approval, shows will be required to state on the prize list their ETHJA affiliation. A mailing list will be provided of all current members for notification.
C. All USEF judges are automatically acceptable. ETHJA will have judge's approval for all unrecognized individuals.
D. An ETHJA steward may be appointed for each show.
E. AIl shows must send in results to the Points Secretary within 10 days of the show to have results qualify. Past 10 working days a $75.00 fine will be imposed for points to count. Past 30 days an additional $75.00 fine will be imposed for points to count and the show will forfeit its date for the following year.
F. Results sent to the Points Secretary must be on the form (or facsimile thereof) sent with the mailing labels or points will not count.
Show results shall be released ONLY to the Points Secretaries.
G. Shows may be held on the same date providing that there is a 100-mile distance between the sites. Agreements on shared dates at sites less than 100 miles apart ( USEF GR. 214 5-6. ) will not apply to ETHJA shows.
H. Shows may use any or all ETHJA recognized divisions.
I. All ETHJA member shows will follow USEF rules whenever applicable.
J. Any additions to the published prize list will not receive ETHJA points.
K. In cases where exclusion exists, classes or divisions at horse shows with multiple affiliations that exclude ETHJA eligible members will not be awarded ETHJA points.
L. Classes must have 2 entries to fill ETHJA classes.
M. Show managers must send prize lists to the general membership and have a copy of these Bylaws, and Show Evaluation forms available from the show secretary.
N. No judge may judge more than 2 ETHJA horse shows in one region (north or south) of East Tennessee in one year except in the case of an emergency.
O. Only USEF Shows in East Tennessee will be sanctioned. Local shows. in states bordering East Tennessee can be sanctioned. East Tennessee deemed as any section of Tennessee on Eastern Time. In the case of Middle Tennessee the area between the southern and northern flow of the Tennessee River and nothing west thereof.
P. Failure to settle indebtedness to member shows:
Upon receipt of a registered letter to a member, with their signature of receipt, from show management informing them of indebtness and a copy of a non-negotiable check or affidavit of no attempted payment, the ETHJA Board will contact said member giving them ten (10) working days to settle their debt and /or respond with proof of payment. If after ten (10) working days the issue is not resolved the member's points will be deleted from the show in question thru all subsequent shows in that year or thru the next calendar year until the ETHJA Board is given proof that the issue has been
mutually resolved by both parties or legally resolved.
Q. In order to retain ETHJA accreditation shows must have an official announcer/ show secretary , there must also be a gate attendant at each ring. Further, these officials and the judge (s) must have effective, immediate and reliable communication for the entire duration of the show. There should also be a punctual competent ring crew present for every class and course change for the entire duration of the show.

R. Any show without effective lighting cannot commence any class prior to 15 minutes before official sunrise of the show date, and must complete any class 15 minutes after official sunset of the show date. (As designated by NOAA Weather Service).
