East Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association Established 1983
I. Purpose: To promote and establish uniform guidelines for the local hunter shows throughout the East Tennessee area. In addition to offer an end of the year awards program for all members.
IL Officers & Directors A. There will be a permanent board of directors representing the various sections of East Tennessee. Each board member will be responsible for responding to the needs and wants of the membership at large in his or her own area, and bring forth any suggestions or recommendations at the board meetings. There will be five at large members plus the officers. B. The following four officers will be appointed by the board, with confirmation from the membership: 1. President-Oversees all shows, points and awards and smooth running of the association. 2. Vice-President-In absence of the President, the Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President. 3. Calendar Secretary-Schedules and confirms all show dates. 4. Treasurer-Collects all money due to the ETHJA and is responsible for keeping proper records showing the disposition of all funds. C. The officers shall serve 2-year terms with no limit D. There will also be a Point and Membership Secretary designated by the board. This person cannot be a board member. E. The board will meet quarterly each year. Each board member is required to attend at least two meetings or forfeit his or her seat. F. Board members must be current ETHJA members by the first board meeting or no later than March 1st of the current show season.

IlL Membership
Dues are as follows:
$20.00 per individual $40.00 per family $200.00 per family-Lifetime B. Memberships run from November 30 to December 1 of each year. Dues must be received by March 15th of the current year to be included on the official mailing list. C. To be eligible for points toward year end awards a horse/pony and owner/Iessee must be recorded with the ETHJA prior to competition. There is a $10.00 fee per horse. (Horses registered between March 1,2003 to November 30, 2003 will be registered for life.) D. Upon sale or lease of horse/pony, owner/Ieasee must advise the ETHJA in writing of the change. No fee will be charged. E. The recorded name of a horse/pony may be changed upon notification in writing to ETHJA. Fee is $10.00. F. Riders age for the year is determined as of December 1 of the preceding year.
